Lawnmower Servicing

From the initial purchase of your machine, to the yearly servicing and any other service you may require from us, we hope to provide professional and efficient service.

Service is our Priority!

Some of options available:

MaxLife™ premium industrial-grade belts conform to rigid Grasshopper specifications for material, dimension, shape, construction and pliability to ensure superior performance and the longest possible service life. Finding an aftermarket belt of the same length won't provide the same performance, so always look for the Grasshopper name on the belt to ensure superior performance.

Superior filtration is an absolute essential when it comes to keeping your Grasshopper operating at maximum efficiency. Whether it's the engine's worst enemy, dust, or other abrasive particles that can damage valves and other components, genuine Grasshopper filters are designed to protect the engine and extend service life – so you can get the most out of your equipment investment

GrassMax™ is the only blade system in the world manufactured to meet the precise design specifications incorporated into every DuraMax® deck. Austempered, boron steel heat-treated to precise molecular structure and hardness is the backbone of a blade series that ensures superior cut quality, long life, minimal grass buildup and optimum airflow for side or rear discharge, mulching or collection.

  • GrassMax™ blades are through-hardened to stay sharp longer and withstand more sharpenings than the lesser case-only hardening found in throw away aftermarket blades.
  • Only GrassMax™ blades have the Grasshopper logo right on the blade, so always ensure you use genuine GrassMax™ blades to guarantee the cut quality and long-lasting durability you expect

Blade Options:

Contour Blades

  • The blade of choice for side-discharge mode in ideal conditions where the “one-third” rule is followed, or when mowing over dry, sandy soils.
  • Leaves the most manicured look in high-profile areas that are mowed regularly.
  • Not recommended in lush, moist high-volume conditions.

High-Lift Notched Blade

Extreme High-Lift Notched Blade

Recommended for most normal side-discharge applications, from moist early spring conditions to final mowing in the fall.

  • Not recommended for mulching or vacuum applications. Consider Medium Lift or Contour blades in dry, sandy soils.

Recommended for use with all PowerVac™ Collection Systems, and required with mulching packages that originally include Medium Lift Blades.

  • Also satisfactory for many side-discharge applications, including dry, sandy conditions.

Medium Lift Blade

Recommended for side-discharge applications in very lush or overgrown conditions with liquid-cooled or air-cooled models greater than 23 hp.

  • Not recommended for mulching or vacuum collection applications, and should never be used in dusty, sandy conditions

Because proper tire inflation improves quality of cut, preventing air loss is essential to your Grasshopper's performance. Grasshopper Tire Sealant stops flats, saves fuel and extends the life of your tires, so you can keep your equipment moving on schedule.

  • Liquid-absorbing cellulose fibers in the sealant immediately fill up to ¼-inch holes in the tread area with their organic bulk, slowing any escaping air while synthetic nylon fibers create a permanent, flexible seal over the hole.
  • Twin-Fiber Sealant contains three times the fiber content of other brands, and is backed by nearly 25 years of market testing.
  • Adheres to the inside of the tire and rim to permanently eliminate flat tires from tread punctures, bead leaks, rim leaks and other forms of air loss for the life of the tire.
  • Effective in temperatures from -40° F. to 200° F., our Twin-Fiber Tire Sealant is pH balanced to prevent rubber corrosion and contains rust inhibitors to protect rims.
  • Available in 32-oz. bottles or 5-gallon buckets with optional reuseable pump for fleet operators.

Thanks to the unique formula of our CoolTemp Hydro-Max™ Transmission Fluid, Grasshopper drive systems last longer and perform better than competitive systems. In fact, testing shows a visible difference in component life between systems lubricated with our Grasshopper fluid versus off-the-shelf hydraulic fluids.

Specially formulated with patented anti-wear additives that maximize the service life of critical transmission components and minimize fluid and filter changes, CoolTemp Hydro-Max™ Transmission Fluid forms an advanced protective shield to eliminate break-in fluid changes and produce the lowest operating cost of all commercially available drive systems.

Grasshopper recommends 1,000-hour change intervals with genuine Grasshopper fluid. That's up to four times longer operating hours with no maintenance.

Grasshopper fluid costs less than 5 cents per hour to use, so even with large cooling reservoirs, it more than pays for itself in reduced oil volume and labor compared to other off-the-shelf fluids

  • Designed for use with all mulching packages beginning with the serial number 5700000 and above.
  • In conjunction with Down Discharge™ mulching baffles, High-Low Mulching Blades recut clippings multiple times and return clippings into the turf.
  • Continue to use Medium Lift Blades if they were provided with your original mulching package

Tire Options:

Turf-tread tires provide enhanced traction and handling on level terrain. Turf-tread tires are standard on 600 Series FrontMount™ models and are optional for 700 and 900 Series FrontMount™ models

Turf-Tread Tire

FrontMount™ power units feature tail wheels to enhance maneuverability and accommodate PowerVac™ Collection Systems. Air-cooled models are equipped with a single-fork tail wheel standard, while liquid-cooled models feature wide-stance single-fork tail wheels. At least two tail wheels are required in conjunction with a PowerVac™ system, providing improved weight distribution, increased flotation and enhanced stability and castering.

Tail-Wheel Options:

Dual-fork tail wheels

provide extra flotation and excellent castering effect on uneven ground for tight quarters maneuvering.

Single-fork tail wheel

 is standard on most models.

Wide stance dual-fork tail wheels

offer maximum flotation and stability with excellent castering effect.

Wide stance single-fork tail wheels

provide increased flotation and stability for a smoother ride

Optional low-pressure, high-flotation bar-tread tires flex with the terrain for maximum traction and minimize scuffing caused by wheel spin-out.
